Volunteers of America — Western Nebraska serves the elderly in Garden County with exercise programs, health fairs and community events.  This year, tax assistance, diabetes education and estate planning are being offered.  Seniors receive commodities distributed at Volunteers of America by Panhandle Community Services.

Senior exercise classes are offered for free in Lewellen and Oshkosh.  Lewellen meets twice per week and Oshkosh meets three times per week — each for ½ hour.
