Elderly Services

Volunteers of America — Western Nebraska serves the elderly in Garden County with exercise programs, health fairs and community events.  Seniors receive commodities distributed at Volunteers of America by Panhandle Community Services.

Seniors exercising Senior exercise classes are offered for free in Lewellen and Oshkosh.  Lewellen meets twice per week and Oshkosh meets three times per week — each for ½ hour.  Tai Chi is offered in Lewellen and Oshkosh as well.  Tai Chi is great for improving balance.

Blood Chemistry Screening of 31 components includes a full cholesterol reading, liver function, blood sugar, thyroid and more.       $30 

(12 hour fast – drink water and take meds)
