Lewellen Preschool

The Lewellen Preshool is located at Volunteers of America's center in Lewellen, NE. It's a fully licensed preschool with classes for 3-5 year olds, Monday-Thursday. The preschool has been nationally accredited through NAEYC and is affiliated with Head Start and Garden County Schools.

Early childhood education is important. Many children enjoy the benefits of having a great learning environment at home, but this is not true for all children and preschool can be life changing. Volunteers of America — Western Nebraska staff have cared for children who have been removed from their homes and children who have been physically and sexually abused. For those children, preschool has been a place to learn to trust adults and learn to play with other children. When children have the opportunity to learn social skills when they are little, they have a much better chance for success in school.

To meet the needs of children in this rural area, a school bus picks up children in a neighboring community.

8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. and 12:15 - 3:45 p.m. daily. Meals served.
